Church Security Basics: Introduction

Introduction to Church Security is based on the Antioch, Tennessee tragedy that happened on September 24, 2017 when the church was attacked by a lone gunman and stopped by a church member.  At the time, Burnette Chapel did not have a security team.  This course examines how the response could have been improved with a safety or security team in place, and could have been instrumental in stopping the tragic event from ever happening in the first place.

The pastor, his wife and several church members were shot and injured in the attack inside the church, and one member was murdered in the parking lot when the suspect launched the attack.  In this series, the case is examined in light of people who stepped forward and utilized their personal skills to save lives that day.

What if a church security team had been in place, with trained team members in place to detect and respond to the attack even before it was launched?

The program is delivered via streaming video and includes video content, quiz and training certificate.  The videos are loaded on Vimeo and You Tube and links can be copied and sent to your team members.
