People need to be convinced that a concept works.  The training process begins with telling my students what they are going to learn, why they need to learn it, and how the technique, skill, or concept is done. This is the priming process to learning a new skill or technique.

The skills, technique or concept must be demonstrated, seen by the eye and registered in the mind several times before the student is ready to practice it.  If someone is simply told what to do and shown how to do it, now they must be given a chance to practice it.

Do

The final process of training is giving my students the opportunity to practice the skill in drill lines and circle techniques, so the information is processed by the mind, rehearsed by the body, and imprinted on the mind thousands of times so it becomes second nature.
